Alejandra is a 33-year-old Venezuelan mother, the sole provider for her three children, ages 10, 8, and 6.
Since the age of 5, her life has been marked by abuse, pain, and the struggle to survive. Instead of protection, she found violence within her own home. Over the years, physical, emotional, and psychological abuse became part of her reality.
Despite everything, she became a mother… but the violence did not end.
With courage and nothing but hope, Alejandra fled to Colombia with her children, searching for safety and a new beginning.
Today, she fights every day to survive. She has slept on the streets, gone days without food, and works at a traffic light selling candies she makes to provide for her children, while facing discrimination and hardship as a migrant.
Her entire life has been a struggle…
but today, she needs a chance to truly live.
